At Donovan Hair Academy, our mission is to advance global excellence in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of hair and scalp disorders through rigorous education, ethical leadership, and clinical expertise. We are committed to empowering healthcare professionals with cutting-edge knowledge, compassionate patient care strategies, and evidence-based practices that improve lives and elevate standards in trichology and dermatology worldwide.

The Academy offers training courses, webinars, lectures and in depth training programs, including the Evidence Based Hair Fellowship.

MEET OUR DIRECTOR, DR JEFF DONOVAN

Dr. Jeff Donovan is the Director of the Donovan Hair Academy. He is a US and Canadian board-certified dermatologist specializing in the treatment of hair loss. He has focused exclusively on hair loss from beginning of his dermatology career. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 2004.  His post-graduate clinical training in Dermatology and PhD studies in molecular biology were conducted at the University of Toronto.

Dr Donovan specializes in helping patients with hair loss conditions that have been challenging to diagnose or challenging to treat. He lectures nationally and internationally on hair loss. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Donovan is a member of the Dermatology Department at the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Donovan has received several national and international awards for his research and leadership. In 2016, Dr. Donovan was honoured with the Canadian Skin Patient Alliance "Dermatologist of the Year" Award. In 2023, he was honoured with the Canadian Dermatology Association Resident and Fellows Society Clinical Teaching Award for excellence in teaching.
